At Northwestern, I specialize in Health, Environment and Science reporting. I've covered those topics in Chicago communities with a specific focus on health insurance policies, developments in neuroscience and community-led initiatives to combat climate change. Notably, I spent 6 weeks living in Puerto Rico as part of Medill's embedded reporting program, where I traveled to dozens of small communities to talk to residents about their water systems and roadblocks to clean water accessibility. This reporting was done in both English and Spanish, my second language.
