Hello! My name is Sarah and I'm a Chicago-based journalist covering the environment and public health in Chicagoland and the Midwest. I currently freelance for Inside Climate News and am a Staff Writer at Endeavor Business Media covering automation and AI.

In 2025, I graduated with a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University Medill, specializing in Health, Environment and Science reporting. I was also selected as a 2025 Post-Graduate Reporting Fellow for the Pulitzer Center, which funded me to travel to Puerto Rico and cover water system issues and community-based solutions.

Prior to attending Northwestern I worked in Washington, D.C. as a federal policy reporter at Inside Washington Publishers covering environmental policy and labor regulation, tracking legislative bills and court cases around the country. I wrote for a specialized audience of industry groups, legal professionals, advocacy organizations and lawmakers. I graduated from American University graduating in May 2023, majoring in Journalism and minoring Spanish and Creative Writing, having received a translation certificate.

I've also interned as the Washington Correspondent at The Durango Herald, worked in daily news at NBC4 Washington and interned at Fundación PorCausa, an investigative publication in Madrid, Spain.
